What is the Participatory Budget & Who Can Propose a Project?

Avatar: Official post Official post

The Participatory Budget is a tool for Lausanne residents to propose and fund projects that improve neighborhood life and social cohesion. Its goals are to strengthen community bonds, support local democracy, and allocate public funds according to citizens' wishes.

To submit a project, you must be either:

  • A Lausanne-based association.
  • A group of at least three people, with at least one member living in Lausanne.

Your project must also be sponsored by at least ten residents of the neighborhood or area it will impact.
