The Process: From Submission to Implementation

Avatar: Official post Official post

The process has four main steps:

  1. Project Submission: Submit a complete application via the official participatory platform.
  2. Feasibility Study: The "Quartiers, jeunesse et familles" (QJF) service checks if the project meets all criteria and is feasible. Only compliant projects proceed to the vote.
  3. Voting: All Lausanne residents, regardless of age, can vote online or via paper ballot. Each voter must select at least three projects.
  4. Implementation: Winning projects are funded in order of votes received until the annual budget is spent. A contract is signed with the city, and funds must generally be used within three years.

Note: While a project is being implemented, the group cannot submit a new one.
